Even through times when education funding is cut, Constitutional Rights Foundation continues to be a champion of civic education. The importance of teaching good citizenship skills cannot be minimized, even if it does not appear on standardized tests.
My association with CRF goes back more than 20 years and includes several CRF programs: History Day in California, Project 540, Deliberating in a Democracy, and Teaching American History.
I have not only participated in these programs but have also taken advantage of CRF’s many well-rounded publications. The list is too long to include here.
It has always been a personal and professional pleasure working with the CRF staff. Their dedication to civic education, enhancement of instruction, and diverse programs has benefitted both the teachers and students involved.
Although I am retired from teaching, I am willing to answer CRF’s call whenever my assistance is needed. It has been an honor to be part of Constitutional Rights Foundation’s mission and continues to be an honor to this day.
