Peter B. Morrison is the leader of the Los Angeles Litigation Group, co-head of the West Coast litigation practice and one of the hiring partners for Skadden’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Morrison's broad litigation practice focuses on high-stakes securities and bet-the-company deal litigation. He advises corporations on matters involving both federal and state securities laws, duties of corporate directors, SEC and stock exchange inquiries and investigations, and contests for corporate control.

Mr. Morrison devotes a significant amount of time to philanthropic and pro bono efforts and currently is involved in a wide variety of organizations in Los Angeles. He served as Chair of the Board of Directors and currently is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation. Mr. Morrison also is a Member of the Chancery Club, whose elected membership is composed of distinguished lawyers who are active in professional, civic, and philanthropic organizations in the region. He serves as the current Chair of the Board of Trustees of Seven Arrows Elementary School, and is a trustee on the Board of Trustees of The Accelerated School, a charter school in South Los Angeles. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library, and he is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Morrison’s volunteer leadership services also extend to his alma mater where he is an active and integral member of the Board of Directors of the Law Alumni Association at NYU School of Law.

Mr. Morrison has earned an enviable reputation as one of the foremost, go-to securities litigators in California for high profile, blue chip clients in a wide range of industries. In 2022, Mr. Morrison was named among the Daily Journal's Top 100 attorneys in the state of California. He also was named to Lawdragon's inaugural list of the 500 Leading Litigators in America. Mr. Morrison was named a Top Litigator and Trial Lawyer in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2021 and 2019. In 2018, he was named Lawyer of the Year for Litigation – Securities, Los Angeles by The Best Lawyers in America.

Jason Erb

Jason R. Erb is the vice president and chief legal officer for Hyundai Motor North America. Erb, who has been with Hyundai since 2002, is responsible for all legal matters across the region. This includes product liability, safety and warranty, intellectual property, risk management, cyber security, dealer franchise, and human resources, among other responsibilities. Erb was named to this position in September 2021.

Erb has been a part of the Hyundai team for nearly 20 years, joining the company as senior counsel. Most recently, he served as assistant general counsel and executive director, litigation. In this position, Erb was instrumental in developing the strategy and leading the skillful execution of class action and intellectual property litigation. Prior to Hyundai‚ Erb practiced law at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro in its Los Angeles office.

Erb earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California‚ Berkeley‚ and his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.

In his executive role at Hyundai of North America, Erb has played a leadership role with employee resource groups as part of the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, including participating in group volunteer activities in the community.
