Since 2001, Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) has worked with nearly 20 successful Teaching American History partnerships. CRF provides TAH partnerships with:
- Design and delivery of professional development.
- Curriculum materials for elementary, middle, and senior high U.S. History/Government.
- Working relationships with scholars, museums, libraries, and other history institutions.
- Working relationships with experienced TAH evaluators.
- Opportunities for teachers to interact and network with each other and with teachers from other TAH partnerships.
- Co-teaching, coaching, lesson study and other individualized professional development.

After a seminar with a scholar, teachers discuss how they can take the content back to their students through interactive, standards-based lessons.
|

Teachers aboard the S.S.Lane Victory participate in collecting oral histories to learn content themselves, and to pick up techniques for using oral history methods with their students. A TAH teacher from another CRF partnership provided guidance on collecting oral histories and set up the WWII, Korean War, Viet Nam, “cold war,” Iraq, and other veterans to share their stories with the teachers.

The Teaching American History (TAH) Grant program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of these grants is to support programs that raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of American history.
